Two Preston artists have staged a pop up exhibition on the Flag Market as the Harris’ gallery remains closed due to Covid-19.Advertisement
Paul O’Hara and Tim Saunders – known as Timsperspectiveart – originally planned the city centre exhibition as a one-off event, but said the positive response could lead to further events.
Tim said: “The event followed Government Covid-19 guidelines. It was well attended with many positive comments and people happy to see art again.
“We both feel art should be accessible and freely available to everyone. It has an important role in the community and helping with people’s wellbeing in these difficult times.
“With the Harris yet to open its galleries we felt compelled to act, which is what led to today’s event.
“Many people asked if there will be more events – this was planned as a one off, but we shall see.”
