Officers seized plants from the flat in Ribbleton

Police shut down a cannabis farm in Ribbleton after neighbours alerted them to the property.

Officers from Preston’s Neighbourhood Police Taskforce visited the flat and discovered it had been converted to grow cannabis.

A police spokesperson said: “We have attended an address in Ribbleton this morning, acting on more community intelligence.

The flat had been converted to grow cannabis and the male inside was dealt with for the offences.

“This again is as a result of information given to us by people, like yourselves, who have had enough of watching this occur in their community.”

Anyone with information about drugs or community issues in Preston is asked to email NPT-TaskForcePreston@Lancashire.police.uk.

The spokesperson said: “We will act, and you will see the direct results.”
