Face coverings are now mandatory for shoppers in Preston and the rest of England, after new coronavirus rules came into effect on Friday (24 July).
Masks are compulsory in enclosed public spaces including shops, supermarkets, post offices, banks and takeaways.
Children under 11 and those with certain disabilities are exempt. Anyone else not wearing a face covering could be subject to a £100 fine from police.
While the Government says responsibility for wearing a masks lies with individuals, shops can refuse entry and call the police if someone refuses to comply.
Photographer Garry Cook has been out and about in the city centre this weekend capturing what Preston looks like now face coverings are mandatory.
