BMW drivers are being targeted by thieves across South Ribble.
AdvertisementSouth Ribble Police have warned motorists after steering wheels and dashboards were taken from BMW cars in the past week.
Patrols have been stepped up, particularly in the Wigan Road area of Leyland in recent days.
Police say the cars were targeted between 2am and 4am on Thursday (June 4).
CCTV pictures of some potential suspects have been released.
A police spokesman said: “If you are worried that your vehicle may be a target of this crime an old-style steering lock, which passes across the centre of the steering wheel or covers it completely, may provide a deterrent.”
