A Royal Preston Hospital nurse is appealing for witnesses after her parked car was smashed into while she worked a 12-hour shift.
AdvertisementNazia Hussain had parked her white BMW in section M of the staff car park on Friday (26 June) at 7am, after which the incident occurred.
In a Facebook status that’s been shared hundreds of times, A&E Sister Nazia said she was “shocked beyond belief” at what had happened.
“Today, while working a 12 hour shift, I discovered that my car has most likely been WRITTEN OFF while being parked in the STAFF CARPARK!
“Of course the heartless individual has just left rather than having the decency to leave a note or inform anyone.“
Nazia, who pays for a secure parking space on a monthly basis, said CCTV is yet to be made available.
She said: “I have emailed the chief executive of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as there seems to be a recurrence of damages to staff members’ cars on this particular staff car park. It’s ridiculous.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference LC-20200626-1241.
