Police left without drone unit after van driver ‘rammed’ police car in Preston

Preston and Lancashire have been left without a drone unit after a police car was damaged by a van driver.

Lancashire Police’s tactical ops unit were travelling along Blackpool Road in Preston on Monday (June 8) evening.

Police state a red van was seen driving dangerously.

The van driver failed to stop and ‘rammed the police’ before making off.

Police said the driver ‘failed miserably’ at running away and was arrested.

LancsTacOps said: “Only drone in the county now offline.”
