One more person has died from coronavirus at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals according to figures released by the NHS today.
The death occurred at Royal Preston or Chorley Hospital on Saturday June 6.
One new case of the virus has been confirmed in Preston bringing the total number to 471. The infection rate in the city is now 332.1 per 100,000 people.
In South Ribble there have been two new cases confirmed in the last 24 hours. There are now 267 cases with an infection rate of 241.6 per 100,000.
Chorley has seen one new case with the total now standing at 355 – an infection rate of 303.9 per 100,000.
Across Lancashire there are now 3,752 confirmed cases of coronavirus- an increase of seven in the last 24 hours. The infection rate for Lancashire is now 310.1 per 100,000 people.
