Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FoundationTrust, which operates Royal Preston and Chorley hospitals, has not reported any deaths from coronavirus today (Tuesday June 16).
It is the second consecutive day the trust has not reported any deaths at either of the two hospitals.
Government figures released today show there has been just one case of coronavirus confirmed in the city, with the total now standing at 477 – an infection rate of 336.3 per 100,000 people.

South Ribble has seen two case confirmed, bringing the total to 274. The infection rate in the borough is now 247.9 per 100,000.
Chorley has also seen just one new confirmed case of covid-19 and now has 361 confirmed cases. The infection rate is now 309 per 100,000.
Across Lancashire, six new cases have been confirmed. There are now 3,798 confirmed cases of the virus. The infection rate has risen to 313.9 per 100,000 people.
