No new deaths from coronavirus recorded at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals on Sunday June 14

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has not announced any new deaths from coronavirus according to daily figures from the NHS on Sunday June 14.

However deaths can sometimes take a few days to be recorded.

The figures come a day after the trust recorded the highest daily number of deaths in England and Wales.

Government figures show there are now 476 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the city, an increase of three in the last 24 hours, representing an infection rate of 335.6 per 100,000 people.

In South Ribble there are 271 confirmed cases after one new case was confirmed. The infection rate in the borough is now 245.2 per 100,000.

Chorley now has 359 confirmed cases of covid-19 with no new cases confirmed. The infection rate remains at 307.3 per 100,000.

Across Lancashire there are now 3,784 confirmed cases of the virus, after nine new cases were confirmed in the county. The infection rate has risen to 312.7 per 100,000 people.
