Preston was hit with a strong storm during Tuesday (16 June) with more bad weather expected during Wednesday.

been hit with several storms over the weekend and into the start of this week.
In Tuesday’s storms, flash floods hit areas in the city where roads became rivers in Longridge and tremendous thunder and lightning hit the city several times throughout the day.
Residents of Longridge have suffered damage to their homes through the day with kitchens and basements being flooded.
The storm continued to battle its way through the North West last night and with more stormy weather to come.

The Met Office has released another yellow weather warning for storms hitting the country throughout Wednesday from 12pm until 9pm this evening.

It is predicted the worst of the weather will hit Preston at 2pm with on and off rain following for the rest of the day.
The Met Office predicts there could be a small chance of homes and businesses being hit by flash flooding and creating difficult driving conditions and potentially even road closures in some parts of the country.
