The game sees competitors challenged to escape a location using a combination of the internet and brain power. Each game takes between one and two hours, and can be played by individuals or teams of up to ten.

Vicki said: “I am a stage manager in the theatre so at the moment I have a lot of free time. I’ve never done anything like this before, but I was loving making quizzes for my friends and family, so branched out to escape rooms.

“Our first edition was about Lancashire as we know it so well. The Preston section features a church, Preston North End, UCLan and a brutalist building. It’s packed with riddles and is a really fun way to get to know more about the city – even some Prestonians struggled with the answers.

“The games are super fun, and I think the people of Preston would love playing them either instead of a Zoom quiz or a boardgames night. It’s a great tonic to what is happening in the world right now.”
