Four more people have died from coronavirus at Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals according to figures released by the NHS today (Sunday June 7).

In Preston, four more cases of covid-19 have been confirmed in the last 24 hours bringing the total number to 464. The infection rate now stands at 327.2 per 100,000 people in the city.
South Ribble has seen two new cases confirmed, making a total of 263 confirmed cases in the borough. The infection rate in South Ribble is now 238 per 100,000 people.
Chorley has one new case confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 350. The infection rate is now 299.6 per 100,000 people in Chorley.
Across Lancashire, there are now 3,714 confirmed cases of coronavirus – an increase of 19 in the last 24 hours. The county now has an overall infection rate of 306.9 per 100,000 people.
