A major nightlife event in the city that was put back to September due to the coronavirus pandemic has now been moved to 2021.
AdvertisementPrestfest was due to take place in May this year on the Flag Market.
But organisers Preston Business Improvement District say after moving the live music event to the September they are now going for June 2021.
A statement from the organisers said: “Prestfest will not be staged this year, instead it will return in 2021 on Saturday June 5.
“The past few months have been something we could never have imagined – none of us have a crystal ball, and can say for certain, that mass gatherings will be permitted by September this year.
“Events like Prestfest rely on the ability for large amounts of people to gather together, and international travel, both of which may remain a challenge for sometime.
“This is the safest option to allow us to deliver the event that you have grown to love, and exceed your expectations.
“We’re pleased to say we’ve managed to line up the performer’s diaries and the same artists will all play the 2021 date.
“Tickets will be transferred to the new date – you don’t need to do anything.”
