The sound of horns and revving of engines filled the air above Inskip, Catforth and Treales on Thursday as tractors and farm vehicles drove through the country lanes.
The NHS Tractor Run, arranged by Bryan Eccleston, was timed to coincide with ‘Clap For Carers’ setting off from HMS Inskip at 8pm on Thursday night.
A total of 82 vehicles took part as they drove from the navy base through Carr’s Green, Catforth, Bolton’s Croft, Wharles, Roseacre, Elswick, Copp, Gt Eccleston, Crossmoor and Inskip.

The Tractor Run was also timed to coincide with VE Day.
Jilly Houghton, Bryan’s partner, said: “Community spirit is high – drivers considered it essential for community well being, and to commence VE2020 stay at home celebrations.”
A fundraising page at Just Giving has raised ÂŁ4,720 from the event. To donate click here.
