Government figures released today (Saturday May 16) show there have been four new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the areas covered by Preston City Council and South Ribble Borough Council.
The figure rose by three to 377 confirmed cases with an infection rate of 263.7 per 100,000 people in Preston.
In South Ribble there are now 220 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with one new case being confirmed today. The infection rate in the borough remains at 198.1 per 100,000 people.
The number of people to have died from coronavirus at Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals is now 175.

Figures released by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust today report three more people have died from the virus across the two hospitals it operates.
One death has now been reported from May 14 and a further two from May 13. Both days previously had no deaths reported.
Across Lancashire there have been 3,322 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
