The American coffee chain has reopened 22 of its branches in the North West include two in and around Preston.
Both stores are following social distancing measures and a number of other measures which Starbucks say they have brought in from learning from their China operation where 90 per cent of Starbucks outlets are open.
Preston’s reopened Starbucks are the drive-through close to the Deepdale Shopping Park in Blackpool Road and the Starbucks at Westholme Garage on the A585 at Esprick, just off junction 3 of the M55.

General manager at Starbucks UK, Alex Rayner, said: We are proud to be back serving our communities with the phased reopening of our stores, starting with Drive-Thru and a handful of stores for takeaway only.
“Although our stores will look and feel a bit different with social distancing measures, plexi glass screens and upweighted cleaning procedures in place, the role coffee plays in creating connection and community hasn’t changed. Now, more than ever, having something familiar is incredibly important.”
All NHS staff can receive a free tall drink of their choice at Starbucks.
