Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has announced six more people have died from coronavirus at hospitals in Preston and Chorley.
AdvertisementThe number of people to have died at Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals has now risen to 172.
Two further deaths have been announced for May 9 and a further four on May 11.
Figures released by the government this afternoon show three new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Preston area bringing the overall number to 374, with an infection rate of 263.7 per 100,000 people.

In South Ribble, 219 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed, bringing the infection rate to 198.1 per 100,000 people.
