Residents in Inglewhite Road, near Goosnargh, were advised to keep their doors and windows closed while firefighters tackled a blaze.
AdvertisementCrews from Fulwood, Preston, Longridge, Bamber Bridge and Garstang were at the scene, where a fire has broken out in an outbuilding.
No casualties have been reported, however four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are hosing down the blaze.
A LFRS spokesperson said: “Residents living in the nearby vicinity are advised to close their windows and doors as a precaution if they are being affected by smoke from the fire.”
The fire service gave an update at 7.30pm on Wednesday to say the fire had been brought under control.
Advice to residents to close windows as a precaution has now been lifted.
One crew is remaining at the scene to dampen down and monitor for hot spot areas.
