Children from a Preston-based Hindu community group have dressed up as superheroes to deliver a video thank you message to key workers in the coronavirus pandemic.
The children are from the Friends of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Preston, a not-for-profit organisation that works to strengthen society via spiritual values and humanitarian services.
Each child featured in the thank you video dons a homemade cape as they pay tribute to workers from the NHS, fire service, police service, care sector, supermarkets, schools and recycling centres.
One girl dressed as Wonder Woman pays tribute to firefighters: “To every brave member of the fire service, you have remained fearless and courageous every day – thank you.”

Another calls out care workers for their huge contribution: “Thank you care workers. You have shown immense human strength and spirit while protecting our elderly.”
A statement accompanying the video on the BAPS Preston Facebook page says: “BAPS Preston would like to thank each and every key worker out there serving our communities, our cities and our nation during this pandemic.”
