A driver has been given a penalty notice after being caught speeding in Blackpool Road.
Police are warning those using the quieter roads during lockdown they face increased patrols.
Lancashire Road Police tweeted about the speeding driver in Blackpool Road in Lea.
They said: “Another vehicle stopped for excess speed in Preston.
“It’s a two lane stretch but still a 30mph limit in a residential area.”

The incident shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday (May 13) saw the driver clock a top speed of 47mph.
Police also seized a motorbike during Wednesday night which had no insurance. It also hadn’t had an MOT since January 2015.
Lancashire Police launched Operation Manta Ray in early May in response to speeding during lockdown.
It came as some drivers had been seen doing speeds of up to 140mph on the M65 between Preston and Blackburn.
