The reopening of KFC at Preston Docks has led to an increase in litter nearby.
AdvertisementRemains from drivers and passengers parking up to enjoy their fried chicken have been scattered across nearby car parks.
Antoni Squires who lives nearby sent Blog Preston these pictures of the rapid build up in litter.
One of the pictures shows discarded KFC meal cartons just inches from a bin.
Mr Squires told Blog Preston: “As we start to see restrictions lift, and people emerge from lockdown, it appears the environmental gains are soon to be lost.
“Sadly it appears there is selfish element of society that think a greasy takeaway fix is so much more important than looking after the environment, as clearly they believe that simply throwing their rubbish on the ground is acceptable. It is not.
“The whole area is littered with branded rubbish, the grass verges, pathways, all over the cinema carpark and all around the docks.”
