Cyclist in hospital with injuries after hitting parked car in Blackpool Road

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a cyclist hurt themselves crashing into a car.

The cyclist, aged 63, was heading towards Blackpool when they hit the parked vehicle a Renault Clio.

No one was in the car at the time and the cyclist was taken to Royal Preston Hospital just before 9am on Monday (May 18).

He is being treated for serious head and neck injuries.

Preston Police are now seeking witnesses and want to speak to anyone who saw the incident or has dash cam footage of the cyclist and car leading up to the incident.
