Two cannabis farms raided in 24 hours in Ashton-on-Ribble

Cannabis found in Thorntrees Avenue

Police working on the west side of Preston smashed open two huge cannabis grows on Wednesday.

Officers acting on information from the public raided a house in Thorntrees Avenue, Lea, to discover more than 200 plants and equipment growing on the ground floor of the property.

Later that evening, officers discovered a second grow in Chain Caul Way, containing seven tents and equipment.

the equipment has ben dismantled and sent away for forensic examination.

A Preston Police spokesperson said: “We will continue to tackle the production and supply of illegal drugs but we need the help of our communities and I would encourage anyone who has anyone information to come forward and contact police so that we can take action.”
