A Fulwood family had to retreat from their garden after a swarm of wasps appeared.
AdvertisementChris Hart said he could hear a buzzing sound growing louder while they werre out in the garden.
The family, who live off Lightfoot Lane, Fulwood, had to retreat inside as the cloud of insects took over the garden.

Chris told Blog Preston: “It was very surreal. I’ve never seen that many.
“The kids were very freaked out.”

He said the swarm, which appeared around 3pm on Monday (April 27) went after about 10 minutes.
Insects and wildlife have been enjoying the quiet of lockdown and April has seen warm temperatures throughout most of the month.
The British Pest Control Association has warned about a rise in pet infestations during the Covid-19 crisis.
