The sister hotel of an in-progress hotel in Preston city centre has gone into administration.
The Shankly Hotel in Victoria Street, Liverpool, is operated by the Signature Living Group.
They are planning to open a hotel with the same name in the former Post Office building between Market Street and Birley Street, Preston.
Reports on the Liverpool Echo website state administrators Duff & Phelps have been brought in for the Shankly in Liverpool and the wider Signature Living group – operated by Lawrence Kenwright remains unaffected.
They also report a partner at business advistor firm Quantama saying there will be ‘serious consequences’ from the administration of the Liverpool-based Shankly Hotel.

The last opening date was due in Autumn 2019 and a ‘partial opening’ was due in the coming months.
