Good weather has been continuing throughout the week and the Easter weekend looks set to sizzle.

Preston Police have thanked the public for keeping away from places like the Docks and parks across the city.

A police spokesman said: “We’d strongly urge people to stay away from beauty spots, beaches and other popular places.

“If people have the same idea it becomes impossible to socially distance.”

Lancashire has so far seen 1,026 confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded and 24 people have died at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals hospitals from coronavirus.
