A wanted man was caught by police in Preston during the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police dog units and a drone team were deployed to trace Jason Wright.

The 33-year-old was wanted in connection with two assaults in early April in the Ribbleton area.

Lancashire Police’s Tactical Ops unit said a man ‘thought he could out-run and out-hide police’.

A police spokesman said: “Many thanks to everyone who helped with our appeal – your assistance and support is greatly appreciated.”
