Freddie Flintoff has announced he and wife Rachael Wools have welcomed a fourth baby into the world.

And in a tribute to Freddie’s home town, the cricketer has named the newborn Preston.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Freddie said: ‘Little Preston was born at Christmas – it is the first time I’ve actually spoken about it.’

The name comes as no surprise to Prestonians after Freddie, real name Andrew, said he “can’t remember having a bad night in Tokyo Jos.”

In a video clip which emerged before last year’s Tokes Reunion, Freddie said: ““Monday nights, 10p a pint. Best night of the week. Tuesdays were good. Wednesdays and Thursdays. I can’t remember having a bad night.”

Former England captain Freddie, 42, is already a dad Holly, 15, Corey, 14, and Rocky, 12.

The former Ribbleton High School pupil walked away from a high speed crash while filming Top Gear last year.

For now he is on lockdown with his family in Greater Manchester, telling TalkSport: ‘Yeah, we have got another baby and it has been nice spending time with him.’
