As lockdown continued across Preston yesterday, the streets of Ashton on Ribble were deserted….almost.

A seven foot dinosaur was seen taking his daily exercise in Wellington Road.

Amy Farnworth spotted the giant beast as she went out to her local shop to buy essentials.

She said: “I’ve just been to the shop to get coffee and there’s a huge, inflatable dinosaur walking down the road. I don’t know what he’s doing, but he’s entertaining me!”

The dinosaur walked down Wellington Road, crossed Tulketh Road and waved at Amy, before disappearing down Egerton Road.

Amy said: “Too funny. It proper made my day!”
