More than 100 staff working through Friday night at Royal Preston Hospital were treated to a takeaway.
Preston-based charity The Light Foundation dropped off meals for around 140 doctors, nurses and other NHS staff.
Food donated by the Asia Continental Foodstore was cooked up into 128 containers of biryani curry and 11 boxes of pizza.

Nadeem Ashfaq of the charity said: “Our deep and heartfelt thanks to Asia Continental Foodstore for their continuous kindness and community spirit, in appreciating the courageous doctors, nurses, staff, and everyone connected to the Royal Preston Hospital who risk their lives daily to save ours.
“We are so proud to be working alongside Asia Continental, and other brilliant supermarkets in Preston, and thank them sincerely for their community spirited action during these very difficult times.”
