Preston’s annual Easter Egg Rolling event is back for 2020 with a fun-packed line-up.
The Easter Monday extravaganza will include the traditional activities of egg rolling – on the hour every hour from 11am to 4pm – and the Easter bonnet competition, which will take place from 2.15pm to 2.30pm.
There will also be a range of activities and entertainment taking place throughout the day in Avenham and Miller Parks.
The Easy Lay Eggs Walkabout will feature an appearance from the only chicken in the world that lays chocolate eggs, and Catboy and Owlette from PJ Masks will be doing meet and greets.
Preston City Mela workshops will be available to join and will include silk painting, ebru marbling and wooden block printing. There will be performances from Abhinandana MK Dance Academy, Bollywood Dancing and Prathap Ramachandra.
Small children can take a magical journey on a cycle-powered carousel called The Bewonderment Machine, and big kids of all ages can watch a giant inflatable whale fill with air before stepping inside it to watch an animated performance.
Last year’s Easter Egg Rolling event saw high temperatures and record numbers attending, with 35,000 people estimated to have turned out.
