Children attending Preston North End’s game against QPR this weekend will get more than just 90 minutes watching some of the Championship’s finest talent.
WHSmith will be giving out children’s books in celebration of World Book Day at a pop up stall at Deepdale Stadium.
With the mission to give every child and young person a book of their own, World Book Day is the biggest annual celebration of books and reading in the UK and Ireland.
World Book Day tokens will be handed out on arrival to all children attending the PNE match on Saturday 7 March.
The lucky recipients will then be able to swap their token for one of 12 exclusive 2020 World Book Day books – subject to availability – to take home from the match.
WHSmith is working in partnership with the National Literacy Trust and supporting the Premier League Primary Stars programme with pop-up book stalls at professional football club match days throughout February and March.
