Friday 28 February

Battle of the Bands: Raise the Roof for St. Catherine’s Hospice
The Roper Hall, Friargate, Preston, PR1 2EE
7pm – 11pm
Three of Preston’s ‘finest’ bands will be going head to head in a Battle of the Bands to raise money for St. Catherine’s Hospice.
Local firms Harrison Drury, RSM and SHP Valuers will all be competing to be crowned Preston’s best in-house rock band at the iconic Roper Hall.
The event will be held in the Dark Room at Roper Hall in Preston and is open to the public to come along and enjoy the evening.
Doors open at 7pm with the entertainment starting at 8pm. Tickets are £10 each and can be booked online or paid by cash on the door. All proceeds from the evening will go towards St. Catherine’s Hospice.

Due to having to close midweek because of the bad weather the fair has been extended to cover an extra weekend! Opened both Saturday and Sunday, 12-6pm, £5.99 for unlimited rides.

Lancashire Archives is 80
Lancashire County Council, Bow Lane, Preston, PR1 8RL

The 80th anniversary of Lancashire County Council’s archive service will be celebrated on Sunday 1 March. Free activities, on a family and local history theme, are planned to mark the celebration.
Budding ancestry researchers will also be able to take part in short beginner’s workshops.

Free tours with King Henry VIII

Watch your heads as the King of England takes you on a guided tour of the Hall!
Tours begin in the Great Hall at 11am and 2pm.
There is no need to book and the tours are free, but donations are welcome!
