An upcoming Preston talent show is offering the winner the chance to qualify for a competition with prize money worth £1,500.
Riva’s Got Talent will take place at Riva Showbar in Tithebarn Street on Saturday 8 February.
The competition is open to singing, dancing, comedy, magic and variety acts. Entrants will be judged on the standard of their performance, along with the audience’s reaction.
There’s a £100 prize up for grabs, along with an opportunity to perform at Riva’s official opening night in April.
In addition, the winner will be entered into series three of online talent competition Now That’s Entertainment, where the prize money stands at £1,500.

Managing Director of Now That’s Entertainment, James Alton, will be on the Riva’s Got Talent judging panel. He said: “We’re currently in production of series three of our unique online talent show.
“The winner of Riva’s Got Talent will be put straight through to the judge’s showreel stage of the competition.
“We hold live finals and the eventual winner will receive £1,500. They will also get the opportunity to be mentored, and for us to find them gigs to get them ‘out there’ and on to bigger and better things.”
A children’s contest with £25 prize money will take place from 6pm to 8.45pm. The adult competition begins at 9pm. Tickets are £3.50, and it’s free entry for performers.
