Police have confirmed the death of a man in Balfour Road, Fulwood, is not being treated as suspicious.
Three people who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released with no further action.
Emergency services were called to the house at 7.45am yesterday (Saturday February 8) to reports a man in his 60s had been found unresponsive.
A Home Office post mortem has since been conducted and established a provisional cause of death as head and neck injuries.
Det Ch Insp Becky Smith, of Lancashire Police, said: “Following extensive enquiries we are satisfied the man’s death is not suspicious.
“A post mortem has given the cause of death as head and neck injuries, which we believe is consistent with a fall.
“A file will be passed to the coroner in due course.
“Our thoughts remain with the man involved and his family at this sad time.”
