Preston author A.J. Hartley’s newest novel is set to launch in the UK in summer 2020.
The rights to Hartley’s newest novel, Impervious, have been acquired by the university’s publishing group, allowing UK readers to purchase their own copy of the book.
The author of Cold Bath Street and Monsters in the Mirror wrote the YA fantasy novel in the aftermath of the fatal University of North Carolina 2019 campus shooting.

The novelist, a professor at the University of North Carolina, was teaching a class when a shooter came onto the campus, killing two students.
He and his group of students managed to take cover whilst the shooter was at large waiting to hear any news, keeping silent whilst texting their loved ones.
He released a blog post of the events he witnessed that day saying that the USA is ‘not safe to live in’.
Author A.J. Hartley is the bestselling writer of mystery/thriller, fantasy, historical fiction, and young adult novels.
He now resides in America after being born in Northern England and having lived in many places including Japan.
Impervious will be available in the UK from 16th July 2020 priced at £6.99.
