A one-man show fusing mentalism and mental health awareness is coming to Preston.
UCLan graduate and mind sleuth Simon Cafferty, who has struggled with depression, will perform his show Dear Insanity for the first time at The Stanley Arms.
Simon said: “Insanity is a strong word, but for me it is another name for the depression/darkness that has been part of me for the last 12 years.
“I used to let it just consume me and I’d hope I would come out of it at some point. But I know now to either talk to people, listen to music and give myself focus on doing different things.
“Mainly at the moment my show is my focus. It’s my chance to talk and raise awareness of mental health and fuse that with entertainment of thought reading, predictions and reading people.
“This show signifies me starting to riseĀ above the negativity within to show that the mind is the most powerful tool we have.”

While this is Simon’s first ever show, he has plans to share his message further.
