Tile supplier Roccia is set to complete the final phase of its showroom expansion.

Already the UK’s largest independent tile, bath and kitchen showroom, the development will see the shop floor space increase from 27,000 square feet to 38,500 square feet.

The expansion, designed by David Cox Architects, includes the creation of six kitchen displays, an independent Italian furniture department, and a café/restaurant.

A change in layout will see the shop face on to the Queens Shopping Park.

The date for the grand opening is not yet confirmed, but is expected to be sometime in March.

Roccia Managing Director, Zabir Patel, said: “In order to cater to our increasing demand, we wanted to create a truly unique one-stop shop for tiles, bathrooms and kitchens – a showroom in which everyone in the UK and even further can visit.

“This will be an excellent addition to the community and the Queens Shopping Park, and ultimately another reason for people to visit Preston and the North West.”

The award-winning family-run company currently employs over 75 people and is looking to increase staffing levels to over 100 employees. Recruitment is underway, with many architects, construction companies and building suppliers already being involved in the showroom expansion.
