Prestonâs largest social housing association says it’s giving its customers greater control over how their homes are managed and what services they receive.
Community Gateway (CGA) is rolling out a new Community Empowerment Strategy following consultations with over 600 of its customers.
The initiative is designed to give tenants the opportunity to influence important matters related to their home and community.
CGA will be hosting events around Preston throughout January to highlight the ways its customers can get involved.

Sian Coulton, community engagement manager at CGA, said: âWe want every single one of our customers to feel empowered, to know that they are being listened to and are positively contributing to their local communities.
“We are very flexible and can work around schedules so that everyone can get involved as much or as little as they can.
“We are also currently updating our digital channels to enable as many of our customers as possible to have a say in the services they receive in a way which suits them.âÂ
The events in January will give customers the opportunity to meet their local CGA team and learn more about getting involved. All events will include free refreshments and fun family activities.Â
