A new live graphic showing English football’s all-time league table stars Preston North End.
The graphic tots up all points accumulated in English football’s top flight, from the first football league in 1888 to the end of the 2019 Premier League season.
Having won the first ever football league in 1888-89 as The Invincibles, the mighty North End stayed top of the all-time table until 1896.
The Lilywhites can then be seen moving in and out of the top 12 teams until 1963.
PNE’s final position at the end of the 2019 season was 26th out of 65 teams who have competed in the top flight – five places and 859 points ahead of Blackpool.
The graphic has been tweeted by the likes of Gary Lineker and SPORTbible, and can also be viewed on the NoobNorm website.
