The owners of Cottam’s most Christmassy house have raised over £14,000 for charity with their 2019 Christmas lights display.
Each year the Tippings create their must-see display to raise money for Derian House, Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Headway Preston and Chorley, and Cardiac Risk In The Young.
Their latest lights included a green heart in tribute to the life of Preston youngster Jacob Willett, who sadly lost his brave fight against cancer in November.
In a thank you message to everyone who donated, Mark Tipping said: “This year our lights were on in celebration of a very special little boy Jacob.
“We would just like to thank all those people that supported us and those that made some very generous charity donations for our 2019 Christmas Lights Display
“We made a fantastic £14,142.50 with gift aid. That’s a total of £81,407.50 over the past eight years towards the four fantastic charities we support.
“We hope you all have a fantastic year and hope to see you all again in December 2020.”
Jacob’s father Mark Willett said: “We are incredibly grateful and touched by the Tippings’ tribute to Jacob, namely the inclusion of a green heart in this year’s fabulous Christmas lights display.
“They also gave him a sneak preview of the lights a week before the official switch on, which meant he got to see them before he passed. It was a lovely gesture, which we can‘t thank them enough for.
“We are amazed by the funds they have raised over the years – and long may that continue.”
