The Subway store at 56 Liverpool Road in Penwortham is relocating into the former RBS Bank, which is situated at 78 Liverpool Road.

Speaking about the move, franchisee Ross Fairbairn said: “We purchased the RBS Bank premises back in April. It has since undergone a major overhaul of the building to open up space and extend the premises on the ground floor to create a large restaurant area. The first floor has been converted into a residential apartment.

“The new store will be fitted out to our new Subway Fresh Forward decor design, with comfy banquette seats, trendy furniture, corian sandwich counters and our new digital menu boards to make customer ordering as clear as possible. The store also comes with its own dedicated customer parking to the rear.

“We are opening on Saturday 14 December at 7am serving our world famous selection of freshly baked subs and salad bowls made the way the customer wants! There is also a large selection of freshly baked cookies, crisps, donuts and soft drinks on offer.

“Customers can join us in celebrating our grand opening with a six-inch Sub and drink on offer for £1.50 this Saturday from 11am to 7pm.

“We look forward to serving our old and new customers and welcoming the community of Penwortham to our new store.”
