Pupils given bike lights and road safety advice

Officers fitted lights to pupils bikes as part of Operation Carrot

Pupils at Ashton Community Science College have been given bicycle lights and tips to stay safe on the roads.


Officers from Lancashire Police worked with Lancashire Road Safety Partnership to carry out Operation Carrot – be seen in the dark.

Pupils who cycle to school were given free lights, supplied by Lancashire Road Safety Partnership, which were fitted to their bikes.

The event was part of a drive to improve the safety of young people when cycling in Preston and the surrounding areas.
