Graham Alexander, David Moyes, Paul Gallagher, Joe Garner…
These are just four of the Preston North End greats to pen chapters in a new book, ‘North End Souls’ about life behind the scenes at Deepdale.
The book, written by Keith Harrison, maps the trials and tribulations of 15 star players and features a foreword from Mark Lawrenson by way of introduction.
Ten percent of the profits from North End Souls will go to th Gary Parkinson Trust, which supports the former Preston, Burnley, Bolton and Blackpool star in his recovery from a debilitating stroke.
An initial donation of £600 has already been made to the trust.

Author Keith Harrison, a Leader in Residence at UCLan and lifelong PNE fan, said: ‘I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the book – both in terms of feedback and actual sales.
“It was a real labour of love for me to sit down with some of my all-time heroes and get their stories down in print – it’s almost like a collection of 15 mini-autobiographies, telling of life at North End over the past 35 years
“‘It’s great that we’ve been able to raise money for the Gary Parkinson Trust and hopefully there will be more to come in the New Year.
‘The book has sold really well in the festive season and I’m hoping there will be lots of happy North Enders on Christmas morning.’
The book, which also features Longridge Town manager Lee Ashcroft, Craig Brown, Ricardo Fuller, Joe Garner, Sean Gregan, Andy Lonergan, David Lucas, Chris Lucketti, Youl Mawene, Neil Mellor, John Thomas and John Welsh, is available from the PNEFC club shop at Deepdale, Halewood’s in the city centre or online from www.northendsouls.com
