An Ingol couple is collecting chocolate bars to give to the children’s ward at Royal Preston Hospital.

Jasmine and John Lovatt have organised the collection as a way to give back to the hospital.

Jasmine said: “Ward 8 has helped my family a lot over the past few years.

“My little boy was born early and needed an NICU stay. He has chronic lung disease and is on 24/7 oxygen. He’s forever in and out of hospital.

“The staff there are amazing, so we want to give something back and spread a little holiday cheer – what better way than with food?”

Jasmine and John are collecting any and all types of chocolate, including dairy-free and gluten-free varieties.

Donations can be left in the chocolate drop box outside 44 Mayfield Avenue in Ingol before 7pm on Friday 20 December.
