Friday 29 November

Mini Diggy Stay and Play
Diggy Sticks Woodland Centre CIC, Factory lane, Penwortham, PR1 9SN 10am – 11:30am
A stay and play session aimed at children aged 1-4 (under 1s welcome and free of charge with a full price child). Let your children go wild in the woods, with themed sessions, forest time and snack included. £4 per child.

Lis Binns – Sewing Techniques

There’s a choice of two projects or you can make both, a choice of a zipped card wallet or a simple circular pot holder. Perfect for presents or stocking fillers. New group members welcome.

Christmas Craft & Gift Fair

Free entry, cake stalls and tombola craft stalls.

Black Cat Friday VIP Evening

Family Friday’s

The last Friday of every month (excluding January & December). Entertainment/activities for the kids, seasonal fun and games and food available!

Charity Open Mic Night for MIND

Building Giants/Soldato/Twisted Obsession/False Hearts

The Ferret hosts Preston’s Giants of Rock gig with headliners Building Giants and support from Soldato, Twisted Obsession & False Hearts.
The show marks Building Giants’ hometown show in their ‘Devil Dance’ UK tour. Tickets: £5

Christmas artisan market The Fishergate Shopping Centre

Lancashire has a huge network of talented creatives. Painting, pouring, baking, drilling, sewing…. the list goes on and on!
Meet them at The Fishergate Shopping Centre for one weekend only (Sat 30 Nov and Sun 1 Dec), for a Christmas shopping experience!
Not only can you purchase all your Christmas gifts, there will also be family friendly sessions to enjoy, free goody bags (limited numbers), food and drink, random acts of kindness, competitions and wellbeing zones!

Nuffield Christmas Fair
Nuffield Health Preston Fitness & Wellbeing Gym, The Capitol Centre, Walton-Le-Dale, PR5 4AW

Support a local business by purchasing from one of the stalls at the fair, from festive treats to clothing lines.This is also an open day so non-members are also welcome at the Gym.

The Courtyard Christmas Market

A Christmas Market showcasing the very best of local arts and crafts from throughout Preston and the Fylde with over 30 stalls along with a range of festive food and drink on offer. All weekend.

Go 4 It
Preston Fire Station, Blackpool Road, Preston
10am – 4pm
Go along for the 1st ‘Go 4 It’ family fun day. There will be plenty to do including; Curling, 5 a-side football, climbing wall, total wipe-out, gladiator duel and more.

Santa at Preston Markets
Preston Market, Earl Street, PR1 2JA
11am – 3pm
Visit Santa at Preston Markets this Christmas. This event is free and no booking is required.

St Catherine’s Christmas Festival
St Catherine’s Hospice, St Catherine’s Park, Lostock Lane, Lostock Hall, PR5 5XU
11am – 3pm
The St Catherine’s Christmas Festival weekend returns on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December from 11am until 3pm.
Be entertained by a host of musicians and choirs; stock up on goodies from a range of stalls; tuck in to some delicious festive food from The Mill Outside; visit Santa in his grotto (sponsored by Booths Country); have fun on the fairground rides and get creative with our craft fair.

Saturday Morning Kids Club
Penwortham Arts Centre ‘The Venue’, Liverpool Road, PR1 9XE Preston

A Christmas film, toys and a relaxed atmosphere. Admission is free -sweets and drinks are available to purchase.

The Harris Christmas Fair
The Harris, Market Square, PR1 2PP Preston
11am – 5pm Saturday and 11am – 3:30pm Sunday
The weekend showcases a variety of local artists and makers.From 12pm on Sunday, there’s also festive live music from Preston-based Kitty Hawk ceilidh band.

Santa’s Grotto and Christmas Markets
Bowland Wild Boar Animal Park, Chipping, PR3 2QT
11am – 2pm
Christmas is coming to Bowland Wild Boar Park with Christmas stalls offering mulled wine, crafts/gifts.There will also be a grotto where your little ones can meet Santa and receive a gift (£5 additional charge).There will also be a selection of Christmas Trees for sale so please come down and choose a tree for Christmas.

Anderton Christmas Markets
Anderton Arms, Longsands lane, Fulwood, PR2 9PS
12pm
There will be a selection of stalls as well as the opportunity for the little ones to meet Santa, warm up with a Christmas dinner and glass of mulled wine, then dance the night away with DJ tom.

Grimsargh Does Christmas
Grimsargh Village Hall, Preston Road, Grimsargh, PR2 5JS
12pm – 4pm
An afternoon of fun kids’ activities, local, mainly hand crafted, gift ideas and festive home decor. Refreshments are available and Santa will be visiting at 3pm to collects those all-important letters! Admission and parking are free.

Children’s Christmas Workshops
Go Create, 3 Bridge Court, Liverpool New Road, PR4 5BF Preston
1:30pm – 4:30pm
A special Christmas craft & slime making workshop for children 4+, make Christmas cards, tree decorations and more. The event will run from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. Price to include free mince pie/ biscuits and a coffee/ juice for the kids. Price £10 per child.

Wesham Christmas Fair
Wesham Community Centre, Church Road, Wesham, PR4 3DR Preston
2pm – 6pm
The annual Wesham Christmas Fair with lots of stalls selling festive gifts. Enjoy mulled wine, mince pies and as always there will be a visit from Santa handing out free gifts to the little ones.

Pinked Floyd live at the Preston Playhouse Theatre
Preston Playhouse Theatre, Market Street West, PR1 2HB Preston

Pinked Floyd return to Preston for another spectacular evening packed with cherished favourites from the timeless albums Dark Side Of the Moon, The Wall, The Division Bell, Wish You Were Here, Animals, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason as well as delving deeper into the Floyd back catalogue.
Tickets: £18 (+ booking fee).

Sunday 1 December

Spooky Tours with Simon Entwistle

Simon’s spooky stories are the kind that send a shiver down your spine! Visit Samlesbury to hear his ghostly tales of the Hall and beyond.Free tours begin at 11am & 2pm in the Great Hall (there is no need to book).

Christmas Through the Ages- Guided House Tour
Hoghton Tower, PR5 0SH Preston
12 – 1pm
Tickets are £11 per person and tours are at 12noon and 2pm.
Step back in time and get into the festive spirit as you take an atmospheric guided tour around the seasonally decorated house. Suitable for ages 10 and above.

Wreath Workshop by Millefiori & Modello
Cop Lane Coffee House and Restaurant, 244 Cop Lane, PR1 9AB Preston
3pm – 5:30pm
Make gorgeous Christmas Wreaths tutored by Hannah from Millefiori & Modello Florists.Fizz on arrival and a coffee and cake break. £38 per person, pre-payment is required.

Winckley Square Christmas Concert

3pm – 6.30pm
Friends of Winckley Square Christmas Concert will feature fabulous performers and a sound and light show.

Tipping family Christmas lights display

The spectacular extravaganza has become a festive must-see with the family decking the halls, lawn and rafters with lights and decorations galore.

Chipping village Christmas light switch on

Free to all to come and enjoy, local carol singers, singing all your favourite Christmas songs.

An Evening of Christmas Magic
Preston Playhouse Theatre, Market Street West, PR1 2HB
7:30pm – 10pm
The Freckleton Band and Singers from Preston Musical Comedy Society present another Evening of Entertainment for the Christmas Season raising funds for The Playhouse. Tickets are £12 and can be booked online via the link or by calling 07738 915848.
