A national touring play is coming to Lostock Hall Library thanks to a community arts initiative.
The performance of Car Park King at the library is part of the Spot On Lancashire initiative, which brings professional productions to libraries and other venues in rural areas.
The original comedy play – produced by Every Egg a Bird Theatre Company – is described as being “a drop of Monty Python, a dash of Blackadder and a sprinkle of Spike Milligan”.

It follows King Richard III as he attempts to stop a curse and protect his nephews from danger while encountering witches, human birds, French kings, watchmen, murderers, lizards, mushrooms and much more.
Spot On is Lancashire’s touring network, consisting of volunteers and community promoters who love the arts and who want to bring high quality live arts performances to their community. Their aim is to give everyone the chance of a good night out on their doorstep.
Car Park King is on at Lostock Hall Library on Wednesday 20 November at 7:30pm. Tickets are £8 and can be booked by calling the library on 0300 123 6703, or via the Spot on Lancashire website.
