A spooky sci-fi horror inspired by a Robert Louis Stevenson short story is coming to Preston.

The Body Snatcher is touring the north of England and will stop at UCLan’s Media Factory on Friday 15 November.

Inspired by Stevenson’s 1884 short story of the same name, The Body Snatcher is set in a dystopian future after Brexit Britain. The country is fighting a battle with a terrible disease, and scientists need fresh bodies to examine to find a cure, no questions asked.

The show – described as a grisly tale with humour, live music and retro nostalgia – is being put on by Thunder Road Theatre Co., which was started by Leyland local Alex Moran while studying at UCLan.

Artistic Director Alex said: “I’m so excited to bring this production back to where it all started for us as a company, unearthing another Stevenson classic on home soil. This spooky show should really grab your attention, in more ways than one.”

Tickets are priced at £9 per adult and £7 per concession, and are available from Ticket Source.
