A new eatery is serving up coffee and brunch in Preston city centre.
AdvertisementRise, which is situated in Miller Arcade, was opened in October by Leigh Norton and Jack Swire.
Leigh and Jack, who are from Tarleton, have combined their experience in restaurant management with their love of food and drink to create Rise.
Leigh said: “Jack and I have worked together for the past couple of years in restaurants and bars, as general management and operations managers, and we have also worked for large brands.
“We love coffee, brunch and really all things food and drink. We used to work later shifts so would often meet for brunch as we would rarely get chance to have dinner out at weekends.
“We struggled to find a place around Preston for a quality brunch with great tasting coffee and service, like those you find in London or Manchester, so we decided to create Rise.”
The food menu at rise includes breakfast rolls, smoothie bowls, and brunch dishes such as eggs Benedict, cinnamon waffles and shakshuka. There are also three lunch options.

Leigh and Jack say their aim is to provide great service and great food at a good price.
“It starts with quality produce, quality staff and a good happy set of owners at the helm.
“We understand people, which is really important these days. We know for the students that their studies will come first, and we know full-time staff will not want to work every weekend.
“It is nice to have variety and enjoy coming to work, therefore we have a team of 15 to give this flexibility.”
Jack and Leigh are looking to the future already, and planning to open more branches of Rise in cities around the north of England.
Rise is open daily from 8am. For more information follow Rise on Facebook.
