The 38th Preston 10 Mile Road Race will be taking place on Sunday 17 November, with a variety of medals up for grabs.
Three championships will be contested – the Lancashire, Northern Athletics and Fire Service titles – including age category and team prizes.
There will also be spot prizes for runners crossing the finish line.
A spokesperson for organisers Preston Harriers said: “If a race steeped in history and the opportunity to win gold medals are not enough to entice you, the race also has reputation for having one of the fastest 10-mile courses in the UK.
“Course records are 49:43 for men and 58:05 for women, with over 30 runners breaking the one-hour mark in 2018.”
Registration for the race at Hutton Grammar School closes at 11.59pm on Monday 11 November but there will be entry on the day, subject to availability.
